Holistic Tarot: An Integrative Approach to Using Tarot for Personal Growth
by Benebell Wen
published by North Atlantic Books
paberback, 874 pages
This is a VERY BIG book. It's larger than the usual paperback, and at 874 pages measures just under 5cm across its spine. It also weighs in at something over lbs, which is a lot of book for your buck.
It's also a fabulous book to have on your shelf if you are seriously interested in the Tarot. Included are extensive imeanings given to all the classic (Rider-Waite-Smith) cards, with additional information/guidance on signifier cards, interpreting court cards, shuffling, the fundamentals of reading spreads, devising spreads, reading for yourself, an introduction to the Opening of the Key... and much more.
from the back cover, written by Corinne Kenner of Tarot and Astrology:
"Arguably the most comprehensive guide to tarot on the market today. It's also innovative: it deftly combines Eastern mysticism with Western metaphysics. It's an impressive tome that presents a wholly modern, rational approach to tarot practice while preserving notable elements of tradition"
